How to approve app requests for additional data

When an application you use requires more information than originally granted - due to a new feature or an update - they will send a request for additional data. As a school administrator, you must review and approve these requests to ensure continued service and data compliance.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log in to your Wonde School Portal: school.wonde.com/login
  2. Navigate to the My apps section. Any application requesting new data will be clearly marked with a yellow status tag: "Permissions for review.

  3. Review the requested data: Click on the application tile and select the "Permissions" tab.
    • Expand categories: Click the "+" to expand each data category (e.g., Achievement, Attendance, Employee) to see the specific fields being requested.
    • Required permissions: These are essential for the app to function.
    • Optional permissions: These are for enhanced features. 

  4. You can use the toggle switches to enable or disable these individually based on your school's data policy.

  5. Once you are satisfied with the selection, click the "Update permissions" button in the top-right corner. 

    Note: A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click "Update application" to finalise the change and trigger the data sync.

What happens next?

The approval process is now complete. 
You and all other school admins will receive an automated email receipt. This document is time and date-stamped, providing a clear audit trail.
