This guide explains how to connect and manage your school’s software applications through the Wonde School Portal with total visibility.
By using Wonde to authorise data requests, you ensure your third-party apps remain accurate and up-to-date automatically. By eliminating manual spreadsheets, you can be confident that your systems are always synced, secure, and ready to go the moment you need them.
How to review pending requests
Any new application requests will appear in your Wonde School Portal for review.
- Log in: Access your Wonde School Portal.
- Locate requests: Look for the Pending approval section under My Apps.
- Review permissions: Click on the application to see exactly what data it’s requesting under ‘permissions’ (e.g., student names, attendance, or contact details).
Optional permissions: If an application lists "Optional" permissions, use the toggle switches to enable or disable specific data points based on your school’s privacy policy.

Finalise: Click Approve app to grant access or click Decline app to reject the request.
Note: A confirmation pop-up will appear to prevent accidental clicks.
What happens after approval?
Once you click approve, the following security and setup steps occur:
- Audit trail: You will receive a time-stamped approval receipt via email for your GDPR compliance records.
- Data verification: Wonde runs this through an audit process to ensure your data appears correctly in our API before the application can access it.

Revoking access
If your school stops using an application, within your Wonde School Portal you are able to revoke access. It keeps your portal tidy and ensures you're only sharing data that’s actually being used.
- Step 1: Select the active application in your portal.
- Step 2: Click the Revoke app button.
- Step 3: Confirm the action.
Important: Revoking access is immediate. The application will be instantly blocked from receiving any future updates from your MIS.

What are "permissions"?
These are specific categories of data (like "Class Lists" or "Medical Needs") each individual app can customise and request in order to function.
Can I change permissions later?
Yes. You can revisit any approved app in the portal to adjust optional permissions or revoke access entirely.

All registered administrators for your Wonde School Portal.
How can I add an app that isn’t showing as "pending".

What do I do if I accidentally revoke an application?
Don’t worry - simply contact the application provider directly. They can trigger a new request, which will appear in your Pending tab for you to re-approve.
My school’s data hasn’t synced to the application, even though it's approved. What do I do?
First, double-check that the application status is Approved in your portal. If it is, but your data still isn't showing, please reach out to the Wonde Support Team: support@wonde.com
