Approving requests for additional data sharing

Scope approval for schools

When you are already working with an application, with which you have previously approved the sharing of data, the application may need to update the permissions it requires to ensure its application continues to work as they introduce new features or you start to use new parts of their tools.

This will result in them sending new requests for data through the Wonde portal, which will require your approval before this data is shared.

This may result in new mandatory data fields being requested or the approval of new optional fields; both require approval before Wonde will share the data with the application.

To approve or decline a request, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Wonde school portal by navigating to https://school.wonde.com/
  2. Navigate to the Applications page. From here, you will see highlighted which applications have Permissions for review. Select the application you wish to review pending approval permissions

  1. From here, you will see all of the data groupings with new optional and mandatory permissions. Expand each grouping to review the permissions that have been requested

  1. Once the sections are expanded, you will see optional permissions that have been requested are off by default. If you wish to give the application access, you will need to turn these on in the available section

  1. Once you have reviewed the permissions, if you are happy to share the new data with the application, scroll to the top of the page and select Update Authorisation. From here, you will see a pop-up to confirm you want to complete. If this is still the case, Confirm Authorisation

  1. Once this has been completed, the new data will be shared with your application

What happens next?

The approval process is now complete. You and any other admins associated with your school will receive an approval receipt confirming the permissions have been approved. The approval receipt is time and date-stamped and is useful for your records.
