Getting your data ready for the new academic year | Why this matters
Wonde pulls your school's data straight from your management information system (MIS) - this might be SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom etc. If rollover steps are missed, the apps your school relies on (registers, parent comms, library systems, and more) can show out-of-date or incorrect information.
Below is everything you need to check, with a few specifics on certain MIS. It should take you under 30 minutes to get things organised.

✅ General checklist (all schools)
Whatever MIS you use, these five checks apply to every school:
- Complete your academic year rollover in your MIS
- Set your academic year start and end dates for 2026 to 2027
- Check new student onboarding so newly enrolled students sync correctly
- Prepare and publish timetables before term starts
- Review your dynamic access control settings so the right people see the right data (helpful guide)
SIMS
1. Check the device where Wonde is installed
On the computer or server running SIMS.net with Wonde installed, confirm:
- SIMS.net launches as expected
- The Wonde Comms & Recovery Service is running
2. Complete your academic year rollover
Run the rollover process in SIMS.net as you normally would.
iSAMS
If your school uses apps that rely on a timetable, double-check that:
- Your timetable has allocated weeks
- The start year is set to 2026 and the end year is set to 2027
Arbor
Make sure your academic year start and end dates are set correctly within Arbor.
