Subject access requests

Individuals have the right to access and receive a copy of their data and other supplementary information. This is commonly referred to as a subject access request or 'SAR'. Individuals can make SARs verbally or in writing, including via social media.

Wonde can help you identify which third-party applications have had access to an individual’s data (currently and historically) via Wonde, along with a list of data permissions you share with each application.

Using the SAR feature

  1. Log in to your admin account via https://school.wonde.com/.
  2. Select the Settings tab from the school portal's menu.
  3. Select the SAR tile.

  1. Find a user by searching their name or you can filter by user type, year group and registration group.

Once you have selected the user you require, you will be able to see the third-party applications that access their data via Wonde and what data they are accessing.

  1. You can download the data permissions that those applications are accessing via Wonde into a CSV to support you with your SAR request.
  2. It will also show if an application previously accessed data for a user via Wonde. This includes revoked applications and users excluded via the access control functionality.

  1. Please note that third-party applications may collect additional information within their platform that Wonde are not privy to. We recommend contacting each application directly to check this.
