Logging into the Wonde School Portal

Visit https://school.wonde.com/login and search for your school. You can search by name, postcode, or URN. The system will remember your previous selection to save you time logging in in the future.

Logging in using single sign-on (Google/Microsoft)

Once you have selected your school, there are a variety of login methods.

If your Wonde admin account uses a Google or Microsoft email then you can select the ‘Sign in with Google’ or ‘Sign in with Microsoft' option. Please note that your school will need to have this option active in the ‘Settings’ section of the portal.

Logging in using a magic link or password

Alternatively, you can log in using a ‘magic link’ which will be sent directly to your email, or you can enter your password if you have set one up in the account settings section of the portal.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA (two-factor authentication) means using two factors to verify a user’s identity before granting access to a system or service. It adds an extra layer of security to your accounts and prevent unauthorised access in case your password or email is compromised or stolen.

We will be making 2FA a mandatory requirement for all users of the Wonde School Portal in the coming weeks. To ensure a smooth transition, we strongly recommend early activation.

Here’s how to enable 2FA (recommended):

Step 1 | Log in to the School Portal. Using the dropdown menu next to your username, navigate to 'Account settings'. Scroll down to the two-factor authentication section and activate two-factor authentication using the toggle button.

Step 2: You will now be able to decide which form(s) of 2FA you wish to use. You can choose to set up one or both of the available options: Authenticator application or Phone number (SMS).

If you only set up one option, you can come back at a later date to configure the other option.

Setting up 2FA with an authenticator application

The first time you set up two-factor authentication, you will be asked to scan the QR code with an application such as Google Authenticator. Please see the section below on how to set up an authenticator.

After setting up your authentication method, you will be provided with recovery codes. Recovery codes can be used to access your account in the event you lose access to your device and cannot receive two-factor authentication codes.

Keep your recovery codes as safe as a password. We recommend saving them with a password manager such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass.

Setting up 2FA with a phone number (SMS)

Once you have selected to set up 2FA with a phone number/SMS authentication, you will be asked to enter your phone number and select next.

You will receive an initial authentication code via sms within 90 seconds.

This code will be valid for 5 minutes. (Please note: if you request a second code within those 5 minutes, the original code will be invalidated.)

Enter the code you received and select next.

This will then present you with your recovery codes. Please be sure to save these to a secure location and submit. This will complete your 2FA set-up. The next time you log in, you will be able to use SMS 2FA.

Authenticator apps & plugins

Firstly you must download an authenticator app on your mobile device, or install an authenticator plugin/extension on your computer.

How to install plugins/extensions

Click one of the options below to view instructions on downloading and using authenticator apps.

Recovery codes

Recovery codes can be used to access your account in the event that you can’t sign into the Wonde School Portal, (perhaps you’ve got a new phone or lost your phone or you've deleted your authentication app) you can use one of your recovery codes to sign in securely.

To access your recovery codes

  1. Log into the Enterprise portal
  2. Navigate to ‘Account settings’
  3. Here you will find your recovery codes.
  4. Be sure to make a copy of your recovery codes, save them somewhere safe and do not share them with anyone. We recommend saving them with a password manager such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass.
  5. You can get a new set of codes whenever you want by clicking 'Generating new recovery codes'. When you create a new set of codes, the old set automatically becomes inactive.

How to sign in using your recovery codes

  1. Find your recovery codes.
  2. Enter email and password to log into the Enterprise portal.
  3. Click ‘Use recovery code’.
  4. Enter one of your unused 6-digit backup codes (As they can only be used once you might want to make a note of which ones have been used)
